Our BeliefEvery Dog Deserves Care, Compassion & A Second Chance.
We believe every rescue dog and cat deserves the chance to feel safe, recover from difficult experiences and enjoy a life filled with care, dignity and love. Through rescue support, animal sponsorship, fostering and responsible adoption, our community can help make that second chance possible.
Creating a Safer Future for Rescues in Need
Pawkala Animal Welfare supports vulnerable dogs and cats with compassionate care, veterinary attention, rehabilitation and practical pathways towards foster care, sponsorship or adoption.
Our work goes beyond individual rescues. Through responsible pet ownership, desexing, community education and animal-welfare initiatives, we are working towards a more compassionate Brisbane and a safer future for animals across Australia
Our Rescue TeamOur Commitment to Stray Dogs
Rescue & Care
When a vulnerable dog or cat needs help, we respond with compassionate rescue support, veterinary care and a safe environment in which recovery can begin.
Rehabilitation & Rehoming
Healing takes time. We help rescued dogs and cats rebuild confidence, adjust to safe environments and prepare for responsible adoption by a suitable, loving family.
Community Education & Action
Lasting animal-welfare change starts with informed communities. We promote responsible pet ownership, desexing, humane treatment and practical ways for people to support dogs and cats in need across Brisbane and Australia
Stand With Nilima for Compassionate Animal Welfare
Healthy shelter animals deserve a chance at life, care and a second chance.
Nilima is calling for compassionate change to protect healthy shelter animals from unnecessary euthanasia. Pawkala stands behind this important cause and encourages our community to add their voice.
